The main character in Holes is Stanley Yelnats The 3rd. A cool thing about Stanley is that his
last name backwards is his first name. Stanley is overweight and was teased at his school. But when he went to
Camp Green Lake, he was in better shape.
Another main character is Hector Zeroni. At Camp Green Lake, his nickname was Zero because everyone
thought he was dumb. Even though Hector wasn't dumb, he was never tought to write or read. So Stanley taught him
to read and write.
The counseler for Stanley's group is Mr. Pendanski. All of the boys in group D have nicknames,
but Mr. Pendanski chooses to call them by their goverment names. In the beggining it seems that Mr. Pendanski
is nice, but even he thinks Hector is dumb.
The owner of Camp Green Lake is the Warden. This is the woman Stanley thinks is looking for something.
It turns out the the outlaw in the storie has something to do with the Warden.
The last last main character is Mr. Sir. He is kind of the manager of Camp Green Lake.
He used to smoke, but now he is using sunflower seeds as a substitute. He even got mad when group D took
a bag.
